Axe falls at health trust

Health services continue to be cut in West Wiltshire as the local NHS trust attempts to tackle its money problems.

The financial turnaround team sent in from Whitehall by the Health Secretary last year have returned and their effects are being felt by patients.

"This month Westbury joined Bradford on Avon in the list of hospitals closed by the Trust - will Warminster be next?" asks Cllr David Lovell.

We may find out on April 7th when the Trust launches its 'Pathways for Change' consultation.

"We must be ready to marshal the loudest possible voice in defence of our hospital and local health services." says Cllr Lovell.

The Liberal Democrats have set up two websites as part of their campaign for a better NHS.
